Pricing and Materials

Base price for a guitar is $1,900.00 plus .07% tax if purchased in Illinois.  Here is a list of what base price includes.

BODY SIZE:  Any of the sizes mentioned on Models page

TOP:  4A Sitka Spruce, 4A Engelmann, 4A Cedar, or Mahogany (note 4A is one grade under master grade)

BACK/SIDES:  Mahogany (add $100.00 to $200.00 for Rosewood depending on grade of wood)

NECK:  Mahogany

HEADPLATE: Indian Rosewood

FINGERBOARD:  Indian Rosewood

BRIDGE:  Indian Rosewood

BRIDGE PINS:  Boxwood or Rosewood

BINDING:  Maple, Koa, Rosewood, or Bloodwood

PURFLING:  Black/White/Black

ROSETTE:  Black/White/Black or herringbone

TUNERS:  Standard Grover or Gotoh

NUT & SADDLE:  Bone

NUT WIDTH:  1 11/16 or 1 3/4

SCALE LENGTH:  25 inch or 25 1/2 inch

CASE:  TKL hardshell case

CUSTOM ORDERING

A deposit will be made for whatever the materials cost.  The deposit will put you on the list and start the process of building a guitar.  The rest of the money will be paid when the guitar is completed.  It will take at least 3 months to complete a guitar once started and it depends on how many people are on the list, waiting for certain materials, etc.  Click on the custom page to see some of the customs that have been made.

TOPS:  Adirondack, Carpathian, Italian, Master grade Sitka, Engelmann and Cedar. Add $200.00  German Spruce call for price.

BACK/SIDES:  Curly Maple add $300.00
                    Indian Rosewood add $200.00
                    Straight grain koa add $200.00
                    Macassar Ebony starting  price of guitar $3200

ROSETTES:  Single ring abalone add $75.00
                 Three Ring Abalone add $165.00
                 Wood Rosette $25.00 and up.

BINDING:  Curly Koa add $50.00
               Curly maple add $50.00
               (most of the Maple and Koa bindings I buy will have some figure:      These bindings that are extra have some strong figure)
         
PURFLING:  Herringbone add $50.00
                 Abalone add $300.00

TUNERS:  Waverly $100.00 - $300.00

CUTAWAYS:  Venietian (rounded) add $75.00
                   Florentine add $250.00

K & K PICK-UPS:  $100.00 - $250.00

CASES:  Cedar Creek, Ameritage, Calton call for price.

WARRANTY

Lifetime warranty applies only to the original owner.  Warranty does not cover abuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear of an instrument.
